two giant steps

Mother may I take two giant steps?  Yes you may!

Okay, so the only thing better than taking a big giant step that you've really been wanting to take is to take TWO giant steps, and that's exactly what I've done today.

This maiden post on this new blog is one of my giant steps.  I hope all you fans, friends, family, neighbors . . . you know know who you are . . . . are proud of me.  It is a lot easier for me to create somewhere other than online.

Some of my thoughts behind this blog are to share what I'm working on with all of you that are always asking, show you what shows I'm attending, where I'm selling my wares, offer a few personal notes, a little humor, a little encouragement and have fun - and of course to hear back from you!!  So, if you are interested in this, please sign up to follow my blog and feel free to spread the word!

I'll share my other giant step shortly, but I thought I would post a few pictures from one of the shows I participated in this spring.  One of my favorite little spots is The Tattered House in old town Roseville,CA.  Twice yearly they host The Roseville Antique Market and this spring was my first time as a vendor for this show, although certainly not my first time shopping the event!

Here's a look at my booth

this show is a lot of fun to shop
 and the weather cooperated nicely.
wish I had taken some closer up pictures - I'll know for next time.
one-of-a-kind jewelry, "the girls," and a few misc. items.

A list of local shows I've sold at:
Antiques in the Garden - hosted by Frolic (Chico)
The Roseville Antique Market - hosted by The Tattered House
Sacramento Antique Faire - located on 21st street (between W and X)

At this time, I'd like to do a couple little "shout outs."

First, to my sister C.  She is always interested in what I'm doing and lives out of state.  It is because of her that I even have this pictures, because I took them to send to her, but never did.

Also, my brother & sister-in-law D&T who have given me constant encouragement with this whole thing.  (between you and me I think T has a lot of misplaced trust in me)  :)

Lastly I'll shout out to all my friends and family who have encouraged me and stood by me always, but especially in this past year which has sure been a difficult one for me.  Knowing that you all love me and believe in me has given me the strength to continue on with a smile and accomplish more this past year than I would have dreamed was possible.

Now, weren't we talking about giant steps?

The other giant step I took was to finally sign up to rent space in a retail store.  While I did not exactly plan on doing this when I woke up this morning (I spent the first half of the day in my night gown), I was totally enamored with the awesome, new (soon to open) store located in the lovely hub of Midtown (Sacramento).

I. am. so. excited!!!! This is something I've really wanted to do, and was so glad to have the opportunity to partner with some really great folks.

Here are two shots of the inside of the store.  It may look a little bare, but I was in there today, and it's filling up quickly with lots of one-of-a-kind treasures!
